HORTICULTURE SUMMER SEMINAR

JUNE 8 - 11, 2003

MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY

Dear High School Students:

The MSU Department of Plant & Soil Science is sponsoring a Horticulture Seminar at Mississippi State University, June 8 - 11, 2003. This seminar will be directed by the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences and will cover subjects in landscape design and maintenance, floriculture, floral design, and florist operation, nursery management, turf, vegetable production, and fruit production. The seminar will run from Sunday afternoon until Wednesday noon. The cost is $100.00 per person, which should be covered by sponsorships. The cost will cover room and meals at Mississippi State University. Participation will be limited to approximately 50 students.

If you would like to apply for this scholarship and participate in this seminar, please complete the attached application as soon as possible and return it to the local garden club that is sponsoring you. The applications need to be received by the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences by June 1, 2003.
